How it works

We are a small, independent film company that can't afford to plaster cities with expensive ads, or engage in fast food toy giveaways. But we've heard back from many loyal fans like you; parents, families, kids and none-of-the-aboves who like the kind of movies we are trying to get out there and want to know what they can do to help. We will provide the tools you need to help spread the word about movies like AZUR & ASMAR: flyers that you can print out at home and pass around or post at local gathering spots, banner graphics that you can post on your blog or website, links to Facebook pages where you can invite friends to their local screening, and email text you can copy and send to friends and family. But don't stop there - let your imagination run wild! Other ideas could include writing the info on sidewalk in chalk in neighborhoods near the theater, or painting a lion red and touring him around (don't actually do this).

Then email our theatrical team at theatrical@gkids.com showing us pictures of the flyers or describing what you did, and we can hook you up with some free tickets or other fantabulous swag from our films! And thank you for all of your help - we couldn't do it without you!!

Review Clippings

Sometimes a great review can say it all. Here are some of the stunning things critics have said about Azur & Asmar, in case friends need any more evidence about why they should go check the film out!

“Is it too early to announce the most beautiful film of 2009? It's hard to imagine a more transporting cinematic experience coming our way than Azur & Asmar, an animated feature from the French writer-director Michel Ocelot. … Any aficionado of animation—of vibrantly realized storytelling, in any genre—will be seduced by a wealth of sights and sounds. In any given year, a filmgoer consumes a lot of animated porridge. And then, occasionally, along comes a delicacy on the order of Azur & Asmar… it’s a feast!” – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune

"Dazzling! Eye-popping! A story at once whimsical and epic, [it's] rife with timeless storybook themes and offers an inspiring vision of harmony between different cultures, different people. A richly satisfying affair!" - Steven Rea, Philadelphia Inquirer

"Impossibly Gorgeous!” “The year’s most beautiful animated film!” – Andrew O'Hehir, Salon

"Beautiful!" – New York Times

"Pure Magic!" – Hollywood Reporter

"Five Stars! Absolutely Gorgeous!” – Time Out New York

"Magnificent!” – Variety
